This week we were assigned to make three different pages using photoshop, with the dimensions of 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels tall. Our three pages were supposed to be uniform in some aspects, with differentiation between the three pages as well.
Craft: I first started out with a blank photoshop document and then created the three sections of the header, left aligned bar, and body of the page. Then, I made the heading of terrah.org at the top of the page. Then I created four buttons of the pages of the web page that I will eventually animate. Then, I added color. This will serve as the basis of each of the three pages that I designed. Then, I put pictures of my family on the home page with a description, a picture of my sister on her page with a description, and a picture of myself with a description on my page.
Composition: I really like how red, black, and white work together, so I chose to use variations of those colors for my color scheme. I chose to have the header have a red background to make it be the first point that the eye sees on the page. I then added several images to my pages to personalize them. I kept the description, header, and buttons mostly uniform on each of the three pages to make them go together.
Concept: This web site is about my family. Each of us will eventually have our own page, plus a home page. Once this is completed, this web site will serve as a sort of family tree of my family with photos, descriptions, and contact information for each of our family members.
