Week 2

This week for class our assignment was to create a web site with 4-5 pages using the Iweb program. I started by choosing the elegant template, and selected four pages that I wanted to use (Welcome, about me, pictures, and other works). Then, I went to all of the pages and inserted images and text on each page to correspond with the title of the page. The welcome page just introduced the site by giving some information about Chicago. The about me page gives an introduction to myself. The pictures page is a collection of images that I have taken in downtown Chicago. The other work page is a collection of some of the work that I have done in my previous art classes. I also inserted a couple of links throughout my pages. These links take you to my blog, and one link takes you to the class web site that Monte created last semester. This site will show some of the work that I did along with my other classmates' work as well.
After I inserted the corresponding images and texts, I went back to make a few more changes to make the web pages stand out a bit more. I inserted different shapes behind the images that I put up on the page to make the images stand out a little more.
This web site was supposed to be about myself and the city of Chicago because I am very interested in photographing the city. So, that is why I decided to chose these pages for this site because it shows that I am interested in the city, and it also shows the other things that I am interested in as well as giving some background information about myself.

  1. This blog, another form of the website, is very hard to read due to the fact that you have a tiny text column next to your images.

Please talk about your assignment in terms of composition, craft and concept.
